Excitement was truly in the air as the TNT Bombettes scuffled to change clothes and rehearse for their Grand Performance on Saturday, July 18, 2009. As the Bombettes practiced their cheers and chants, in walked 5 of the New Orleans Saintsations.

Higgins Middle School Gymnasium in McComb echoed with screams and yells as the New Orleans Saintsations (Ariel, Aimee, Jessica, Alexis and Zeraleigh) were introduced. During the “Meet and Greet Session”, the Saintsations and Bombettes exchanged cheers, chants, jumps, dance moves and even flips.

Once the program began, the Saintsations were the ‘Opening Act’ for the TNT Bombettes. That is something you don’t see everyday: professional cheerleaders doing an opening performance for a group of youth cheerleaders.

TNT Bombettes literally owned the place once they finished their routine to the league’s theme song, “TNT is Hot!”

After the TNT Bombette’s Performance, the Saintsations assisted the TNT Cheer Coaches (Aliyah, Victoria, Cassie and Makeeta) with the presentation of awards. The award receipients were Bombette Alexandria-Most Improved, Bombette Brandy-Most Athletic, Bombette Johnretta-Most Spirit, Bombette Adrionna-Most Spunk and Bombette Jessica-Ms. Congeniality.

Highlights from the TNT Youth Football & Cheerleader League Summer Camp will be featured on Our Backyard, Channel 15 on the following dates: Friday, July 31, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 2, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.

The TNT co-directors Stanley (Chris) and Frankqunetta Dillon thanked the Bogue Chitto Attendance Center Cheerleaders for their committment and dedication during the summer camp.
